Who
Hi, I’m Steve—the owner, operator, and head designer at On the Draw Graphics. Now with upwards of three decades of advertising experience, I started On the Draw more than twenty years ago, and have maintained a presence in a profession that generally offers little consolation to second place.
Where
I moved operations—lock, stock, and smokin’ barrel—to Kansas City after a decade of graphic design work in Phoenix. In the ten-years-plus I have lived and worked in the Heartland, I have come to love the openness, friendliness, and unspoiled charm of the area. It is a too-little heralded region that features great food, fantastic jazz and blues, and a rich and dynamic arts and theater scene. Kansas City and the surrounding entities comprise a strong and diverse business and advertising center as well. Diversity in weather isn’t all bad, either.
Passions
A word about my personal passions may also be helpful. I live and work in a world of art of every form, whether it comes from man or nature. I create art as an expression of this passion, working in media ranging from paint on canvas to three-dimensional work with metal, wood, and more. I love to share my art and my work with all, but I do save a special corner of my world for spending time and sharing life with family and friends.
